The letter to Novell protesting their recent patent agreement with Microsoft has gained 2000 signatures from individuals in the Free Software community, many from developers and Novell VARs. I was expecting 200-300. Strong feeling on this issue seems to be very widespread. - Bruce

"Strong feeling", may qualify for the understatement of the year... or decade, for some people.
The question is how much 'M$ ear wax' has Novell got in their ears... aside from the obvious several million dollars worth...

I think your idea of creating action based on technology policy issues is brilliant Bruce. As this web site has demonstrated, there is a hunger for information on technology policy and linking action based on that information will help provide an voice to those of us who care about these issues and see the current situation as difficult to influence.

the petition came out right before U.S. holiday weekend too, I'd expect more signatures from U.S. people in the next week
