The level of characterization, technical ignorance and political
posturing displayed on both sides here is dismaying.
I can count the number of letters-to-the-editor I've written
on one hand -- without using binary -- but this one got a
response. The more on-point factual responses these people
get the better, because if this is the level of discourse
that's being used to persuade our Congress, we're sunk.
