Experts are now reluctantly admitting that human to human spread of the H5N1 virus has been more common than what they have been saying, and that several reported clusters in the past were most likely H2H. They are also vindicating Dr. Niman who has been running an excellent independent avian flu research page where he has theorized on these spreads in the past and backed it up with data he collected and collated.

ed: I have heard Dr. Niman speak numerous times now on the radio, and, to distill it down, from his POV, the situation is worse than what they are saying "officially".

Some survivors of the earthquake in Indonesia have been seeking shelter in chicken coops; may soon see increased bird flu infection in that area, and if human to human infection possible.
