acting as a broker matching donations and needs to support
NGO’s in their fight against poverty and disasters. It also
provides branded web sites for the United Nations Joint
Logistics Center (UNJLC), the World Economic Forum (WEF) and
Rotary International.
Global Hand has now decided to switch to Open Source and
choosed to base his services on the Plone and Zope solutions.
This
article investigates Global Hand experience and criteria
to select these technologies. A real life situation where
Open Source is not a "low cost solution" but well an "high
quality" solution and sometimes the best solution available
on the market.
