The UK Royal Society has issued a new report where they make the
case that ground level ozone
remains a particularly bad air pollution problem and that it
needs to be addressed better at an international level. They cite
human health reasons along with crop loss, and say the other
aspects of climate change could exacerbate this problem.
"Until we have a globally coordinated approach that
addresses the international nature of the problem, national and
even regional level controls are unlikely to deliver the kind of
reductions that are necessary to protect human health and the
