Fedora 10 is now officially out, although there was a leaked
version floating around for the past few days. I had checked
earlier this morning and the page still said coming in one day,
but now it has changed. Here are the Fedora 10
release notes. Here is the get Fedora 10
page.
ed.z.: I think I will try the full bloat version this time
instead of just gnome, I want to try out the newer KDE as well.
Ya'll on high speed have fun! Let us know first impressions
and gotchas, etc.
I myself go through phases of desktop environments. It
typically goes something like this: KDE{3.5,4} -> Full-blown
Gnome -> Gnome-light -> XFCE4 -> {Fluxbox,GnuStep,E}
-> KDE, etc.
I have been on Fluxbox for years now, I went through almost all
others after WindowMakers development stalled (or I couldn't
get the packages etc.), it is doing its job perfectly for me, I
have two screen setup with xinerama so no fancy 3D desktops for
me :-).
