A multi university study has developed a new way to look at gene expression in parasites, the process that allows the parasites to grow and multiply in their host. They say their findings will help other researchers looking at parasitical diseases like malaria and toxoplasmosis.
.."The team developed methods to generate large numbers of mutant parasites with defective growth and tools to identify the genes carrying the mutation. This type of study, often dubbed “forward genetics,” allows scientists to discover novel genes behind essential biological processes."..more..err less..parasites is a good idea, there
