Microsoft is appealing the huge fine imposed earlier by the European Union for failing to comply with a commission ruling.

.."Microsoft further said it had made the filing in a "constructive effort to seek clarity from the court.""

ed.z.: What's to clarify? They are a company, the government there said they did bad and fined them. Maybe that is a problem over there, failure to comprehend simple words. I know if joe blow was in front of traffic court and the judge goes "got ya cold, 30 mph over, fine!" and you hem and haw for years and not pay...pokey time

zogger, they already have 3 (soon 4) simultaneous antitrust probes against Microsoft there. I reckon Microsoft wants to slow them down (more bureaucracy).
