"There is no evidence of any infectious disease outbreak related to the death of a VIA train passenger en route to Toronto, says Ontario's chief medical officer of health."  Toronto Star story here.

"Dr. David Williams told reporters at Queen's Park today there were three separate and unrelated incidents aboard The Canadian, which was quarantined in Foleyet, near Timmins."

I've posted this followup as it seemed the right way to bring closure to the story.

with results of "more sensitive molecular testing" pending, wouldn't say story is closed, just evolving.

Yah, I did the tinfoil thing for a bit, but WTF, I am willing to trust the Canadians, for now.

On the closure, I was referring to the fact that it seems the issues are unrelated. As I said, I'll buy it for now.
